All ports auto-negotiate port speed, making them good for offices with a mix of Fast Ethernet (100 Mbps) connections for desktops and office servers and older desktops still running at Ethernet (10 Mbps) speeds. Baseline hub products are designed for small to mid-size networks and branch offices having structured wiring without a need for network management.
