3Com Single-Port IEEE 802.3at Gigabit PoE Midspan Solution

The 3Com Single-Port IEEE 802.3af Gigabit PoE Midspan Solution provides power over standard Category 5 or 5e Ethernet cabling to IEEE 802.3af-compliant devices that require a Gigabit connection.

This inline power source installs in the switch closet, eliminating an exposed power supply and extra wiring at the workspace. Less vulnerable to damage or tampering than a local power supply, it can save an organization time and money. Diagnostic LEDs confirm proper operation and facilitate troubleshooting.

3Com Single-Port IEEE 802.3af Gigabit PoE Midspan Solution can be used with 3Com devices such as 3Com IntelliJack Gigabit Switch NJ2000, 3Com IntelliJack Gigabit Switch NJ1000, 3Com AirConnect 9550 11n 2.4+5GHz PoE Access Point, 3Com AirConnect 9150 11n 2.4GHz PoE Access Point, 3Com Wireless LAN Managed Access Point 3950.

Used with the IntelliJack devices, IEEE 802.3af power is sufficient to power the device. Additional PoE power is not available for attached devices.
