The 3Com Wireless 11g Cable/DSL Router is an affordable and easy-to-use solution, designed for small and home offices, which enables multiple users to securely share a single cable or DSL Internet connection.
Wireless LAN users can connect at speeds of up to 54 Mbps and at distances up to 400 feet - almost nine times faster than 11b wireless speeds. And the wireless router is backward-compatible with 11b wireless clients, preserving existing wireless network investments.
Featuring eXtended Range (XR) technology this router facilitates longer range connections, providing single access point coverage in most home networks, helping eliminate dead spots in corporate wireless LANs, and providing outdoor coverage of up to two times the distance of last-generation competing similar IEEE 802.11g solutions.
128-bit WPA/WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access/Wi-Fi Protected Access 2) with TKIP/AES, and 40-/64- and 128-bit WEP (Wireless Encryption Protocol) encryption for legacy clients, protects the privacy of 11g and 11b wireless transmissions. An intuitive web interface and simple setup wizards simplify setup and use.
