The Peripheral Attachment System allows the seamless attachment of a host of market specific peripherals - including magnetic stripe card and biometric/fingerprint readers - to the M150 and M170 Touch Monitors. Unlike competitive units, which utilize embedded componentry, the Peripheral Attachment System makes M150 and M170 monitors totally peripheral-flexible. The system allows field-configuration with the VAR's choice of off-the-shelf peripherals of their brand and technology preference. The system also allows for quick, on-site replacement of non-functional peripherals as well as technology evolves. This aids in minimizing down time and spare inventory requirements by allowing easy replacement of faulty components rather than stocking and replacing an entire, integrated unit.

The system allows left or right side mounting of peripherals depending on application requirements, and also allows simultaneous attachment of different peripherals if necessary.
