The DB9/Mux board (Symmetra Communications Card - SYCC) is a user replaceable module that is used to multiplex the serial data from the MIM and RIM to up to four smart slots, a 9-pin computer interface port, a remote PowerView port and an XR extended run battery frame communication card port. This module contains the DB9 computer interface port connector as well as a connector for I 2 C communications with an XR Extended Run frame (up to 7 extended run frames can be daisy chained together), and an RJ45 connector for communicating with a remote PowerView display. This module can be removed without affecting basic Symmetra Power Array operation, but all communications will be lost.

This module is intended for APC Symmetra.
