As a member of the 9400S series the 9424Ts is a Layer 3-gigabit Ethernet (10/100/100) switch with stacking capabilities and four SFP bays. It comes in a 1 RU form factor and provides rich QoS and IGMP capabilities for voice and video enabled networks. With 48Gbps available stacking bandwidth traffic flows freely between switches in a stack.

The 9424Ts also offers an extensive set of standards based features to ensure ease of management and integration into existing networks. Its physical characteristics also make it an affordable complement to 9400S/XP switch models that can provide 10GbE connectivity to the core.
