The Model 2500 bar code and magnetic stripe reader combines features found in a variety of readers into one compact, easy to use system. The reader accepts a wide variety of devices: lasers, CCDs, wands, slot readers and magnetic stripe readers. The reader will work with any asynchronous RS-232 ASCII or PC emulation terminal. Your reader will not become obsolete just because you change terminals or operating systems. Up to three different input devices can be connected at the same time, maximizing the versatility of the scanning system. In addition, up to 96 readers can be daisy chained together. This ensures that as your data collection needs change, the reader accommodates your choice of data collection devices. The reader works with any asynchronous RS-232 ASCII or PC emulation terminal including Wyse, Kimtron, Link, Televideo, DEC, etc. It is compatible with operating systems such as MS-DOS, Windows, UNIX, Xenix, etc.
