This hand-held LED wand features a rugged stainless steel case and a tapered ruby ball tip. The ruby tip glides smoothly across the label preventing wear on repeatedly read labels. The spring-loaded tip withstands chock, pressure and wear, assuring a long operation life. The advanced optics coupled with high-speed electronics provides extremely high first read rates even on poorly printed or faded labels.

This Opticon Wand is bundled with M1000 Keyboard Wedge Decoder, a powerful keyboard interface unit capable of reading all standard bar code symbologies in use today. The unit sends bar code data to the personal computer through the keyboard interface. This data appears as if typed from the keyboard, allowing you to add bar code capability to existing applications without any software changes. The M1000 is fast and accurate even on poorly printed bar codes, including those with ink shrink and ink spread. This eliminates rescanning labels.
