Foundry's ServerIronGT C-Series is a family of purpose-built high availability modular Layer 4-7 application switches in a stackable PC size form factor, and is designed for the business-critical application and server farm infrastructure of Enterprises and Service Providers. These switches deliver the convenience of a pre-equipped appliance and the form factor traditionally only available on a PC platform, without sacrificing high availability, expandability and performance upgradeability to meet current and future business needs.

ServerIronGT CGC16 (SI-GT-CGC16) comes pre-equipped with 16-port 100/1000 Mbps Copper JetCore ASIC-based line module and a WSM6-1 management module. One processor on the management module performs dedicated and reliable device management while the application processor performs application switching and traffic management. This system delivers up to 50, 000 Layer-4 connections per second including data transfer, or DoS protection against up to 1, 200, 000 TCP SYN requests per second. This model is ideal for gigabit density to the server form, or to enable high availability network connectivity in a choice of network topology designs for easy integration into existing infrastructure.
