The BASIC! CONNECTIONS Media Converter family is specifically designed to offer the lowest cost, no nonsense connections between copper-based and fiber-based Fast Ethernet segments. Expansion of existing networks can be easily achieved with minimum cost and complexity. The converter is completely transparent to the network - so network performance is unchanged. Easily expands the size of an existing Network using multi-mode fiber within a building or across a campus.

This family of converters extends link distances between buildings and campuses. Fiber segments can extend to maximum of 40, 000 meters between networking nodes. The BASIC! CONNECTIONS Median Converter family is compatible with Canary's full featured CFT-206X standable units and CCM-1240X and CN-204X rack chassis cards.
