The unit uses ColdFire microprocessors and is configured with high-speed Rockwell International 14.4Kbps fax modems. It is equipped with plenty of memory and designed for high-speed fax rasterization at the server. The FaxPress 5000 is designed to seamlessly integrate into Microsoft NT and Novell NetWare networks. The hardware is fully SNMP-capable, which will allow administrators to manage remote sites as easily as their own site. The 10/100 Base-T network interface is designed for today's high speed networks and will automatically detect network speed and configure itself. The FaxPress 5000 is ideally suited to high fax traffic environments that require high reliability and easy-to-implement fax solutions. In broadcast applications, 8 to 10 single page faxes can be transmitted in less than one minute. And thanks to the high-speed processors, there is no need to wait for the documents to be converted.
