Grazie alle connessioni via cavo in fibra ottica multimodale, questo modulo supporta traffico trasmesso a una distanza Massima di 2 km in Modalità full duplex.

Il modulo DES-6504 100Base-FX è totalmente conforme agli standard Ieee 802.3u e 802.3x, per cui sono da escludersi problemi di Compatibilità. Il supporto al controllo di flusso conforme a 802.3x garantisce una maggiore Dependability dei dati e consente di ridurre le perdite di pacchetti.
