Flexible drive configuration
Hard drives of various sizes may be used within the same array and can be configured with multiple RAID types and volume segments on a single drive. Typical SAN arrays allow one size of drive with a single RAID type and volume per drive.
Embedded centralized storage management
The embedded, user-friendly IP-SAN Device Manager (IDM) provides comprehensive network storage management. Boasting a rich set of management features, this suite of utilities allows monitoring and control of your SAN via the SMI-S (Storage Management Initiative) command set. Combined with an embedded secure server, you will also be able to remotely configure and monitor multiple D-Link SAN storage subsystems.
Advanced management features
The DSN-5000 series provides an advanced graphical user interface with "4-click" installation along with additional advanced features for efficient management of network storage and optimal performance.
