Eaton's Serial/Status Management Card offers two types of interfaces via a DB9 connector, to serve multiple needs: Its dry contact interface provides status information to the built-in power management drivers of operating systems still relying on this communication method like the IBM iSeries or Windows. The card also sports a Power Off capability that can be activated in.

Any UPS of the Pulsar series from Eaton equipped with a Minislot can be connected to a number of building-management applications. Jumpers are used to select the interface (contacts or RS232).
