With its 1920 x 1200 resolution, the SX2262W displays 30% more information than most other 22-inch monitors. It also features a wide color gamut and 10-bit simultaenous display.
Wide color gamut
The monitor reproduces 95% of the Adobe RGB color space so it can display most colors in a digital photo taken in Adobe RGB mode. Furthermore, it also has an sRGB mode to accurately reproduce colors in this narrower but commonly used color space, such as those seen on web pages or digital photos taken in sRGB mode.
High resolution screen
The FlexScan SX2262W features a 1920 x 1200 native resolution. Compared to the 1680 x 1050 native resolution of most 22-inch monitors, this is approximately 30% more information in the same amount of screen space.
Three inputs including DisplayPort
Connect with up to three PCs via the monitor's dual DVI-I inputs which accept digital and analog signals, and the DisplayPort (digital) input terminals. DisplayPort is next-generation connectivity that transmits both video and audio signals.
10-bit simultaneous display
The FlexScan SX2262W employs a 12-bit look-up table with a color palette of 68-billion colors from which the most appropriate 16.7-million (8 bits) are displayed. It also uses 16-bit internal processing for smooth display of grayscale tones without banding.
Brightness and color uniformity with DUE
Fluctuations in brightness and chroma on different parts of the screen are characteristic of LCD panels. Generally, the larger the screen, the more noticeable these uniformity errors become. EIZO's Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) helps to compensate for these errors, resulting in a much more uniform image.
Brightness and color temperature stability
To ensure proper display of color, the FlexScan SX2262W comes equipped with patented EIZO technology that stabilizes the monitor's brightness level after startup or coming out of power saving mode. Furthermore, a temperature sensor detects and automatically suppresses changes in color and brightness caused by fluctuations in the surrounding temperature.
Fast response time
An overdrive circuit is included to reduce gray-to-gray response time to 5 ms and ensure that movies and other moving images look clean and sharp with an absolute minimum of blurring and ghosting.
The FlexScan SX2262W comes with a "FlexStand" that offers tilt, swivel, 90° rotation for portrait mode viewing, and 225 mm of height adjustment. Its innovative, bearing-less design reduces mechanical wear and the amount of torque required to adjust height.
Scale non-native resolutions to full screen
When working at less than native resolution or aspect ratios other than 16:10, you can use the scaling function to enlarge your work proportionally or expand it to fill the screen. This is especially useful when using the monitor's single link input. You can then smooth or sharpen the image in five increments.
Color vision deficiency simulation
To avoid creating inconveniences and even dangers for those with color vision deficiency, care must be taken when choosing color schemes for everyday items such as maps, road signs, web sites, and power indicator lights. This monitor can instantly simulate how still and moving images appear to people with two types of red-green (protanopia and deuteranopia) and one type of blue-yellow (tritanopia) color vision deficiency.
Optimized brightness with Auto EcoView
A sensor on the front of the monitor measures ambient light and optimizes the screen's brightness to ensure the screen is never too bright or too dark. If preferred, Auto EcoView can be deactivated in the OSD menu.
On-screen button guide
Graphics professionals often work in a dimly lit environment which can make it difficult to read a monitor's adjustment buttons. The SX2262W, however, includes an on-screen button guide that labels what each of the buttons are for so you can easily navigate the OSD menu.
Energy and environmental efficiency index
A user-activated EcoView Index displays the level of power savings and equivalent amount of C02 reduction compared to using the monitor without Auto EcoView activated and with the screen set at a brightness of 100%.
