The Freedom9 freeGuard Slim 100 is a compact in-line appliance that manages network traffic flows to optimize and protect network and server infrastructures. Deployed in front of servers or network equipment, the Slim 100 is a non-intrusive solution for managing against bandwidth abuse or attacks against network infrastructure. Based on the "RDX" technology, it supports monitoring network flows at 2Gbps throughput while maintaining line quality and low latency. It is configured using granular user-defined policies identifying thresholds for session creation, per flow bandwidth and aggregate bandwidth.
