The RemoteView Service Board RSB S2 lp (low profile) provides control of PRIMERGY servers in all system states, including "Out-of-band" operation.

The RemoteView Service Board is a PCI-X card, which operates as an autonomous system. It has its own operating system, Web server, SNMP agents, user administration and event manager for alarm forwarding. It uses its own communication channel via LAN, and it has its own power source for full independency. The RemoteView Service Board RSB S2 includes a digital KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) redirection over IP. Advanced Video Redirection (AVR) and Remote Storage handling at especially high performance are main features.

Together with the RemoteView software, this board enables an administrator or service engineer to access and to control a server for standard administration as well as for maintenance tasks when the server functionality is degraded.
