OMNI offers many features to take advantage of the wireless connections to use remote validation files, remote data lookups, and even allowing the terminal to run a remote script on the server. Key features of OMNI reduce the number of roundtrips through the server, which means users spend more time collecting data and less time waiting for responses. For those applications that require portable or wireless printing capability, OMNI offers functionality to print to a Bluetooth or 802.11b equipped printer.
