The EXP420 Storage Expansion Unit (18128VH), is a 16-bay SATA disk-only enclosure that accommodates the DS4200 500 GB SATA EV-DDM and provides up to 8 TB physical capacity per expansion unit. The DS4200 is a SATA disk-only system that is well suited for applications requiring large amounts of storage, such as data archiving, reference data, and fixed-content applications, that do not demand the performance and access intensity typically addressed with Fibre Channel disk drives.
