The RocIT Defender 2000 FinanceSafe offers the true portability, security and feasibility desired by enterprises. The FinanceSafe Device is a self-contained, hardened operating system on a hardware encrypted, secure Kanguru Defender 2000 USB drive that isolates its OS from any host computer, allowing corporate users to safely work in a secure remote environment on nearly any PC. When booted, the host computer's hard drive and OS are not accessed, creating an isolated barrier from any malware, spyware or viruses that could have infected the host system.

With the RocIT Defender 2000 FinanceSafe, business users can access their corporate virtual desktop and assets from anywhere, but with full enterprise security built in. This is ideal for organizations that do not want to issue or manage expensive laptops for their off-site users, but require remote business continuity, proficient data security, and disaster recovery compliance. The VMware-Viewer-Client provides an encrypted connection using PCoIP to the corporate VDI without the need to set up a VPN. This configuration also enforces Data Loss Prevention policies as users are not allowed to print or save files on the local machine, enabling companies to meet and comply with many regulatory requirements.

Trusted hardware
The secure system operates within the hardware encrypted Kanguru Defender 2000 USB flash drive that is FIPS 140-2, level 2 certified, and in process for Common Criteria EAL2+ to help organizations meet HIPAA, SOX and GLB compliance. The RocIT Defender 2000 FinanceSafe launches through a bare metal boot process with pre-boot authentication.
