The JetStream 8500 provides a highly efficient way of connecting asynchronous serial devices such as thin clients, terminals, printers, EPOS tills, measuring equipment and modems to TCP/IP Ethernet LANs. For terminal server applications telnet and rlogin are supported. TruePort gives transparent access from applications to hundreds of JetStream 8500 serial ports scattered across the network, so applications don't have to be network-aware. A comprehensive suite of security features is included for Remote Access Server (RAS) applications. SLIP and PPP Remote User dial-in is supported, and dial-out facilities enable access to modems or printers. JetStream 8500 is the one box solution for seamless serial access via a LAN that is the easy to install and use.
