The Plasmon UDO60 is a RoHS compliant optical disk drive that reads and writes to 5.25 inch 60GByte UDO (Ultra Density Optical) media. UDO blue laser technology provides a high performance, reliable, and cost effective long term data storage device. The drive handles true Write Once, Rewritable, and Compliant Write Once media types.

To insure continued access to data stored on first generation media, this second generation UDO60 drive can read first generation 30GByte UDO media, but cannot write to it. The UDO60 is available either as a desktop unit in its own enclosure (UDO60D), or for internal installation within a system enclosure (UDO60I).
