It provides approximately 9TB native useable capacity with RAID 5 and one hot spare drive (factory default). Order this item for 750GB drive-based systems to increase performance and provide a smaller capacity increase at the same time. The number of Array Modules must be less than or equal to four, and must be equal to or one greater than the number of Expansion Modules. After the system has four Array Modules and four Expansion Modules, then order Expansion Modules (field upgrade DDY75-UDEX-xxxx) for further capacity expansion.
