The Symantec Academic Buying Program helps streamline the way authorized academic institutions and charities throughout the world purchase Symantec software products. There are no signed contracts, and the requirements to participate are minimal. In most instances, the program enables procurement with a single purchase order, with products delivered in a single shipment and on a single invoice. Customers earn eligibility for discounts and can consolidate their buying power (with a minimal number of licenses) within any given transaction.

To procure software products through the Symantec Academic Program, customers simply purchase a media pack and the number of licenses they need from a Symantec partner. Customers will then receive a license certificate that confirms their purchase and the terms and conditions for using the software. There's no need for a signed contract or legal review.

Symantec Basic Maintenance is an ongoing investment in Symantec software technologies and customer's business. This package is designed to help keep non-essential systems current with the latest Symantec version upgrades and content updates.

This product can only be sold to College Students, Accredited Educational Institutions, Administrative Offices & Boards of Education, Public Libraries, and Public Museums. Students are limited to 1 copy of each product per calendar year. Students must supply either a clear copy of their student ID or a enrollment verification letter from the registrar's office, via FAX or e-mail(.jpg).
