Other companies choose this option to avoid sharing resources among crucial applications, opting instead for several dedicated appliances.
IDENTIKEY Virtual Appliance is a Plug-and-Play solution that runs in an existing virtual environment and can be installed very quickly and easily. The performance is solely dependent on the virtual environment and the resources that are reserved for the appliance.

Easy to deploy
IDENTIKEY Virtual Appliance can be deployed in less than 30 minutes, making Two-factor authentication rollout quick and easy - even in smaller offices with limited IT resources. As it is a purely software based solution, it simply needs to be setup in an existing virtual environment. After this, users and DIGIPASS are loaded, and connections to the Internet facing devices as well as to the corporate LAN need to be configured.
Simple web-based user interface
All administration functions are conveniently accessible through a web-based user interface, making remote or outsourced administration possible and presenting the opportunities for managed services providers. Initial installation requires a simple connection to the IDENTIKEY Virtual Appliance through a web browser interface. Role-based administration and helpdesk functionality are provided.
Detailed reporting and auditing
The audit console monitors and records all incoming and outgoing RADIUS and web authentication requests on the IDENTIKEY Virtual Appliance. Statistics collected and reported by the audit console give administrators the information necessary to manage their remote access environment. Standard or customized reports can be generated in XML format. Software and Hardware monitoring can be used by external monitoring software via SNMP traps.
A flexible licensing system allows for easy expansion of users and DIGIPASS. It also manages the different functional options and connections of the Authentication server. The same license allows to switch between several performance levels, depending on the available virtual environment.
