OnGuard is Lenel's flagship security platform. It seamlessly integrates a full suite of security management functions and technologies using an open architecture design. Event handling mechanisms
Event Handling was completely redesigned to provide near-real-time event propagation time (sub-second), significantly improved performance and rich capabilities needed for v-AC.
Access control systems integration support
SKM was extended to include set of APIs ("receiving sockets") for various Access Control Systems integrated with additional Access Control System Gateways (ACSG).
Automated SKM nodes' provisioning
The procedure to connect multiple SKM nodes into security domain was significantly simplified to reduce chance of misconfiguration. Procedure of "handshake" between node and master was introduced, which is the only method to register additional node to the system.
Media format was changed to QuickTime MOV, which allows for synchronous sound, accurate timing for variable frame-rates and for content descriptor metadata to be added into headers.
Cameras preview in resource tree
Camera snapshot preview was added into resource tree of operator user interface to allow for easier camera identification. Feature is activated automatically upon mouse hover over camera names in resource tree.
Simplified GEO-calibration for cameras
Camera editor in admin GUI received visual GEO-calibrator based on Google Earth technology, which allows establishing camera position visually plus calibrating "true north" for PTZ cameras, so that "slave-to-target" capability may me used in Map3D of operator interface.
Simplified video archive access through timeline
Timeline component in operator GUI was extended with additional call-in dialog to enter date/time directly, what allows to position Timeline into vicinity of desired period of time faster, and then fine-tune with regular Timeline capabilities.
