Summary: I've used other brands of t-shirt transfers with no problems. Yesterday I used Avery for the first time. The first page I printed smeared black ink. This was an expensive mess, considering the price per page. the second page printed out ok. However, after that my Epson Stylus printer, which had been printing beautifully right before, stopped printing in black.
After a lot of effort & wasted ink, I got the printer priting again, & printed outon foto paper, on plain paper, on card stock, & even on transfer paper (another brand). At the end of the day I printed two more pages on the Avery dark transfer paper. Again, there was black smearing. Again, the printer stopped printing in black after that. I haven't gotten the printer fixed yer. Avery product support suggested that I get my printer professionally cleaned. Their rep didn't have a clue about how printers & printing worked. Very disappointing. I would suggest that they make it plain on their packaging that after using these transfers ones printer might need professional readjustment. I certainly would not have bought the product with such a warning--& never will again. I would suggest you might not want to either.
