Cisco Small Business WAP4400N Wireless-N Access Point

Mfg Part #: WAP4400N

Cisco Small Business WAP4400N Wireless-N Access Point

The WAP4400N Wireless-N Access Point is steadily approaching the speeds of its wired counterparts by overlaying the signals of multiple radios. This "Multiple In, Multiple Out" (MIMO) technology utilizes signal reflections that confuse ordinary wireless technology to increase a device's range and reduce dead spots in the coverage area.

Adding PCs to your network is a snap, as the WAP4400N supports Wireless-N (802.11n), Wireless-G (802.11g), and Wireless-B (802.11b) devices. To eliminate cabling hassle, the WAP4400N allows for Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity. This makes for easy installations, even in places without ready access to an electrical outlet.

Strengths: better speed and signal strength than super G, linksys support has always been helpful

Weaknesses: programming could be a explained a little better

Summary: I have purchased 16 of these over the last year and have installed them for use in hotels with very few problems. I would definately recommend this product.

RUD-Houston

Strengths: Excellent throughput. The critical feature was Power over Ethernet which it performed flawless with the source being a Cisco ASA 5505. The product shipped with the latest firmware that was dated within a month of my receipt. The web/gui setup was easy to have up and fully secure in less than 10 minutes.

Weaknesses: None found

Summary: Outstanding value for a high performing product. I'm looking forward to the firmware upgrade to be industry compliant in the Wi-Fi "N" arena.

Strengths: Good signal strength. Better than wireless G for coverage. Easy installation.

Weaknesses: Truly I needed Tropos systems which have ability to cover a city block. www.tropos.com

Summary: For all intended purposes this product could not work any better and has low maintenance.
