Strengths: Functions with both older parallel and newer USB
Weaknesses: Installation instructions could be more user friendly.
Summary: Since I have 2 older printers with parallel port requirements and one newer printer with a USB connection, this model was perfect.

Strengths: Easy to configure. Works well with HP Deskjet parallel printer. Supports USB also.
Weaknesses: None that I have found.
Summary: This is a good product that I would buy again. I haven't yet used it with a USB printer. I bought this model because it supports both parallel and USB printers.

Strengths: Ability to interface with 3 printers including USB at the same time for the price of a single printer server. Utility provided to monitor network interface with printers is helpful. Also, TCIP printer designations make the system more adaptable in office environments.
Weaknesses: Set up is more for an individual who understands the basics of network administration and TCIP rather than a novice but can be done.
Summary: Have owned D-Link 700P print server and like the DP-300U much better. The software and the system seem to work flawlessly and the data arrives at each printer quickly.

Strengths: 2 standard parallel ports and 1 USB
Weaknesses: A little confusion setting up second port. The directions only show how to set up first port and when you go to set up the next port Windows XP doesn't give you the same dialog as the directions for the first port. Sorry but it takes a little intuitive playing around to get it to work right.
Summary: This is a great unit that works like a charm. Easy to set up first port if you follow the directions but windows is not as cooperative with the next port. I think the problem is an OS issue not a print server issue. I give this product two thumbs up and Windows...

Strengths: Once set up this is a set-and-forget device.
Weaknesses: Set up is a little cumbersome only in that you need to be creative about naming your printers and remembering what you called them.
Summary: Overall a good product for a small home network. Not too difficult to configure if you have some experience setting up home networks. I can print from any connected PC or WiFi laptop without having to leave a PC running all the time.

Strengths: Once naming convention was configured correctly, worked as advertised.
Weaknesses: Manual could be a little more clear on naming convention of the ports
Summary: Have older hp laserjet 4l and photosmart 1215 attached, also photosmart 130, biggest issue is drivers from the printer manufacturers for LAN connected devices. However does not work with all Lexmark printers Z500 for example.

Strengths: Good System, Easy to Use, The Software that is uncluded makes each install a 1-2min process at most.
Weaknesses: The power cord is a little loose sometimes and comes unplugged every now and then.
Summary: Have an old printer(we had Mircoline 320s) that need to be networked? This will do the job.
