D-Link Xtreme N Duo USB Adapter DWA-160

Upgrade your computer's Wi-Fi and access the Internet quickly and easily from anywhere in your home or office. This adapter works best with a dualband or quadband router (DIR-825/DIR-855), but also with any other type of wireless router.

With Wireless N Dualband, you can choose to switch to either the commonly used 2.4 GHz or the interference-free 5 GHz frequency, both of which guarantee incredible coverage with virtually no dead spots and speeds of up to 300 Mbps.

No experience required, simply insert the enclosed CD into your computer and the installation wizard will do the rest.

Strengths: Easy setup.

Weaknesses: Range seems shorter than I expected.

Summary: The adapter and software were easy to set up right out of the box. It took longer to uninstall my old wireless adapter and software. So far, a very good product.

Strengths: strong and stable wireless connection to my D-Link Xtreme N Router; very easy to get up and going, plug and play and up in less than 5 min.

Weaknesses: none thus far other than the range could be a bit better, haven't had any technical issues since purchase date.

Summary: overall a very good product, couldn't rate it a "5" due to the fact i think i should get "full bars" (signal strength) to my D-Link Xtreme N router which is only in the next room...which is about 15ft away with door open at all times (so signal is NOT traveling through walls) other than that minor issue (more of a pet peeve than anything else) it's a very good product that does exactly as described. wireless connection is stable and fast when paired with other "N" products. nicely done D-Link :)

Strengths: Excellent speed when paired with D-Link DIR-825 dual band N router. Range is two floors

Weaknesses: Not firmware upgradeable

Summary: I purchased a D-Link Xtreme N set-up to replace my Netgear Mimo G network. Both router (825) and USB adapters (160). Very pleased so far. Better range and speed. Replace everything with the same brand to ensure maximum compatibility!

Strengths: Throughput, reliability, interoperability.

Weaknesses: Cost, size.

Summary: I purchased this adapter to get full N wireless activity to my home theater PC. This adapter gives great speed and is very reliable. The signal strength is stong. The only drawback is that the product is a bit expensive and slightly larger than other adapter available.
