Strengths: Epson RX680 Color Printer and its Ink are great.
Black color is strongly black.
Weaknesses: Design by Epson uses ink quickly, so buy several to have on hand.
Summary: Best printer/scanner/copier I've ever used in the ink-jet price range ($130 printer total, shipped from Epson). Inks (black & colors) create photo-quality prints. Black ink is nice, dark black.

Strengths: Excellent print quality and longevity
Weaknesses: Expensive, like all ink-jet cartridges
Summary: I really have nothing to compare this to, as I've only used the recommended Epson inks in my printer, never aftermarket. The performance and quality of this ink is outstanding, but the cost per page makes one wish for a monochrome laser alternative. I don't see this as an Epson problem, but as generic to ink-jets.

Summary: As with most ink cartridges, it gets costly to print a lot of photographs as I do. It is not worth it to buy off brand inks though, the color is off and they don't last as long.

Strengths: good clear printing, no clogs.
Weaknesses: price
Summary: cheeper cartridges have messed previous printers I had.
Some times its worth paying the extra price.
