Strengths: easy on the eyes both the case and the screen image

Summary: Supplements (actually replaces) the laptop screen (wide screen, which I cannot stand). Now the laptop is in the desk drawer with a remote keyboard, remote mouse, and the big screen on top. Works like a champ.

Strengths: High resolution, sharp text in general. Nice image color stand out. 2 DVI inputs and bonus USB hub are very convenient.

Weaknesses: Noticeable color shifting toward red in default setting.

Summary: Good price and extremely fast shipping. Set up was easy. It replaced my 4 year old Samsung 710N LCD and I was pleasently surprised. It's very bright and I just use 60 brightness with 80 contrast. However, I had to re-calibrate the color to correct the noticable red tint by using HP display assistant (come with the package). So far, I am happy with my purchase.

Strengths: Cables, stand, colors

Weaknesses: Grainy matte screen, moving objects often "stutter"

Summary: Good points are good. Bad points are a problem, so lower overall rating.... First one I got had lines of flashing light moving up and down the screen for about 20 minutes after cold start up.... DVI display, but not VGA. RMA'd for exchange. Second one has the similar problem on one port (worse than prior monitor), but not the other port. Also, video motion "stutters"... motion not smooth and continuous. Matte screen (to reduce glare) is overly aggressive and is a bit distracting. If buyer were to get a good one without these problems, it would be a good buy. (I'm planning to use mine for a while in a way where its problems don't come into play. Later, I'll try to get HP to replace the screen. Apparently HP has changed panels to A-MVA which is not as well liked as former S-IPS. This panel change is influincing my decision to delay asking for screen replacement.)

Strengths: Allows DVI or VGA connections, excellent picture quality, great value with rebate, attractive styling

Weaknesses: Occasional flicker (very likely to be my old video card, running off a VGA connection.)

Summary: I have been very pleased with this purchase. Colors appear rich, with minor corrections out of the box. I haven't played any games on this yet, but I don't seem to have any refresh rate issues.

Strengths: Solid, great adjustability, good clarity for text, easy integration with Vista, no dead pixels, USB ports are surprisingly handy (great place for receiver for wireless mouse. Love the dual CPU feature. Great packaging and peripherals.

Weaknesses: None. If I hadn't a few months ago bought an acer al2216w as the (old) main monitor, I would buy another.

Summary: Best Monitor I have purchased to date (and I'm a frequent updater).

Strengths: s-ips display panel, 24-bit color, dual DVI ports, no dead pixels, reasonable price, pcsuperstore is great

Summary: I got a pair of these monitors for general use (not gaming). They are SIPS panels. At 1600x1200 and arm's length, the display is pleasant and not fatiguing, text is crisp, images are beautiful. Movies are acceptable.
