The Flame

Strengths: This UNIT is solid and, of course, the capacity is ENORMOUS

Weaknesses: It is a slow transfer, but I knew about this going in. This is a storage unit, after all. I am not going to be running HD movies off it.

Summary: All in all a solid unit. I recommend buying it. I mean, you could probably get 2, one TeraByte units for less, but then again, you're walking around with 2 drives.

Strengths: Tons of Storage. Sleek Design.

Weaknesses: A little slow seek times.

Summary: Great Hard Drive at a Great price. The seek times were a little slow for a 7200 RPM in my opinion but not bad overall. It really is a great drive, and at the price it's probably the cheapest 2 TB drive on the market.

Strengths: Very large capacity

Weaknesses: A little noisy. Not too bad, but not as good as some others I have.

Summary: I bought two of these, so that I could have redundancy of such a large drive. The problem with large drives is that if they fail, you loose quite a bit of data.

MCL - Colorado

Strengths: Lots of storage space in a compact footprint. Great price too!

Weaknesses: None yet.

Summary: I am digitizing all of my home videos and this one Hard Drive will hold years of these videos all in one location. This makes it so easy to access these old movies. I want another one for my TV recordings!

Strengths: Simple to use ("it just worked"); Worked perfectly with OS X & Time Machine

Weaknesses: Fans are loud; USB is not the best way to hook up this amount of storage.

Summary: I bought the drive to use with OS X's Time Machine. It worked as advertised, providing almost 2-full TB of space for backups. I plug the drive in at night (I do not normally bother with hourly TM backups) and it cranks through with zero errors. I really wanted to go with a Drobo, but this was a steal and does exactly what I need it to do at a very good price.

Greg Perry, BidMentor.com

Strengths: Huge disk storage

Weaknesses: Don't know if the drive is quality, given how short of time it's been out. It works so far just fine.

Summary: I am THRILLED with the value I got here! I would purchase again without hesitation.
