Mfg Part #: 418739U

Lenovo designed the IdeaPad S10e netbook as an introductory mobile PC for students in grades K-12 and as a secondary device for those in higher education. Ideal devices for connecting to the Internet for online research, students can use the netbook for sharing ideas and for conversation through email, social networking and other applications. Additionally, the Lenovo netbook provides basic functionality for word processing and light multimedia capabilities. A built-in webcam on the 10.1 inch display makes creating and sharing video messaging simple. And for a faster PC experience, the Quick Start feature allows students to quickly check email, browse the Internet, conduct video conferencing, view photos or listen to music without having to fully boot the operating system.

Strengths: Small Size,Looks, features, 10" screen
Weaknesses: Very slow on internet and slow processing programs.
Standard memory installed is only 256mb. Had to add 256mb more to get it to just be acceptable
Summary: An average value for a laptop in this size and price range.
Not very quick compared to others in the same class.
Disappointment coming from Lenovo (IBM)

Strengths: Easy to carry around. Also acts as a good PDF file Text to Speech reader, if you have the latest Adobe reader installed.
Weaknesses: Would be great if it had a lightweight DVD ROM drive built-in ( as light as the ones shipped by Oppo DV players).
Would be nice if they don't install that non-windows software for quick tasks...it is of poor quality.
Summary: Very useful to carry around.
Good sound quality.
Lacks a lightweight DVD drive. Hopefully can add that and reduce the 80 GB drive...there is no need for such large storage space.20/40GB should be more than enough.
And a default installation of Google docs...offline processing would help.

Strengths: It is small and easy to carrying. The screen is incredibly sharp. Boot times are quick. The keypad, although smaller than a normal laptop, is easy to typing. The built is rock solid and the keyboard is sure and precise.
The track pad is nice and the right and left mouse buttons are on the bottom of the pad, which I like it very much.
Wireless connection was quick. It comes with an express card slot.
Really easy to replace or upgrade the RAM and hard drive. It only requires removing the bottom plate (2 screws) and both features are readily accessible for easy upgrade.
Weaknesses: What I don??t like is the display: it only 1024 x 576 and some software such as TurboTax, require x 600, so you will find out that you can not install some software.
The recovery option is already on the hard drive, butI still wish it come with a recover CD!
Summary: Small and easy to carrying;
Easy to replace or upgrade the RAM and hard drive;
The built is rock solid;
Comes with an express card slot

Strengths: A very good solid product
Weaknesses: Screen resolution is a bit low (1024 x 576).
Summary: I enjoyed the little netbook greatly. Feel very sturdy. Install addtional 2 G memory. Run great. Got from CostCentral.com for very good price. No complaint.
Screen resolution is a bit low (1024 x 576). Can't run Turbo tax unless connected to a external monitor. However, all the netbook are about the same resolution.
