Summary: I purchase a Lenovo T61p laptop May 2008. Since then it has been nothing but trouble with various programs and features failing intermitently. I finally have my laptop working after my 4th installation of windows. I think the probelm was a combo of vista and thinkvantage. At any rate, I tenuously purchased this docking station fully prepared to spend months getting it to work. To my pleasnant surprise it worked flawlessly the first time and has yet (~ a mont of ownership) to give me a problem. I highly recomend this docking station to anyone with a stable Lenovo laptop.

Summary: Product performs exactly as I wanted. Pushing the button to gain "permission" to undock the laptop has taken getting used to, but it works fine.

Strengths: Very easy to use. There are a lot of ports available even for speakers and microphone.

Summary: The think that I like very much is the power button on the docking station. The docking station that I had for my previous laptop didn?t have a power button. Now I can turn on and off the laptop without opening the lid.

Summary: The new design of the docking station with the on/off button and the key lock to the left of the computer instead of behind it makes it easier to work with than the old design.

Strengths: All most common used ports available Reduced the amount of time hooking wires up when I get back home (now I can use my nice big monitor and wireless keyboard and mouse--so it takes away more wear and tear from the laptop itself) Great for people who use their laptop as their main workstation and are on the go frequently

Weaknesses: USB ports should be spaced a few more mm's away from each other as some USB heads cannot fit in because they are so thick.

Summary: I've been using this for about 2-3 months. I have had no problems with it at all and I use it *VERY* frequently.

Summary: Works well. But undocking causes XP's network driver to permanently fail; requiring a re-install.

Weaknesses: There were no weaknesses in this purchase.

Summary: The product was what I had read about, the shipping was fast and complete.and most important the cost was half the prices I was looking to pay locally. What a great buying experience.

Strengths: Easy to use, very handy to have if you travel with your notebook, but use it as a 'desktop' when you are at home or in your office.

Weaknesses: The User's Guide was basically useless, since it provided no real detail regarding the product. It was mainly about safety issues.

Summary: If you need additional ports and jacks to accommodate all your desktop accessories, this is a real expansion for your notebook, not to mention a true timesaver when you need to take your notebook with you and then return to a "one click" complete office setup.

Strengths: simple, easy-to-use design - virtually non-existent footprint on your desktop ( beyond that of the attached laptop )

Weaknesses: separate/additional power supply brick required (included with dock) vs.internal power atached via standard computer cord

Summary: nice simple design that serves the purpose well. what is up with the keylock? - I suppose it's a nod to laptop security, but c'mon now...the thing weighs like less than a pound, what exactly is locking the computer to it going to do except ensure that any would-be thief gets not only the laptop but the 'dock' as well as they pick up the whole bundle and dance out of the building.

Summary: This product saves a lot of time by organizing the cords. I do not have to unplug anything any more when I take my Thinkpad in and out of my office daily. Looks great too and keeps my Thinpad angled for easier use of keyboard

Strengths: Replicates all your connections, adds 4 more USB ports, has Coaxial S/PDIF jack. Uses same power adapter as the laptop

Weaknesses: S/PDIF is on the side of the dock, a little oddly placed.

Summary: In my opinion, the Mini-Dock is a must have for ThinkPad suers. It makes things much easier, all your devices are plugged in the back, instead of the sides, and you simply lift the laptop out, no more unplugging and replugging.

Strengths: provides easy in/out of laptop. Don't have to "unhook" cables so the desk surface says neat. Love the lock

Weaknesses: Not easily mounted on anything but a desk surface. Presumes computer will be used on the desktop as though it had not replicator attached.

Summary: Includes traditional printer port not built into the computer, adds security and utility to an R60 Thinkpad. Results in minimal clutter.

Strengths: This has allowed me to dock and undock my laptop from devices I have at the office without having to stop them one at a time, and without risking physical damage to the ports they are attached to.

Weaknesses: None I can think off, this product was exactly as described and it really meets my needs.

Summary: The Lenovo ThinkPad Advanced Mini-Dock - Port replicator is a must have add on to your laptop. If you own a laptop then you must use that laptop in more than one location. This dictates having different peripherals at different locations (some location will not have any at times). Therefore, the need to attach your computer to multiple devices on the fly becomes necessary. Sure, you can connect the devices on at a time to the laptop, but that means you have to connect the device and wait for the OS to recognize, and then connect the next device and so on and so forth. With the Mini-Dock, slide your computer into position and enjoy all your peripherals at once. Disconnecting multiple devices connected to the laptop one at a time is a hassle, assuming a mini-dock is not in use. Using the mini-dock all you have to do is hit the eject button on the port replicator, wait few seconds for all the devices to safely stop, and eject your laptop and move to the next location. With this original OEM you will not miss a beat, you will enjoy original manufacturer warranty at a price no one else could meet. CostCentral saved me money and time, their prices were better than anyone else, their shipping was extraordinary fast, A+ transaction all the way around.

Strengths: It does everything its supposed to do

Weaknesses: Only has 1 ps2 port so if you are still on a legacy keyboard and mouse you have to either upgrade one to USB or buy a cable to convert.

Summary: Product was delivered timely and in fine shape. Everything was in the box and it had not been opened. I will do business with these guys again.
