Strengths: Allows me to easily add an external drive to my PC. Simple to install. Is much faster than a USB drive. Allows me to boot from an external drive (unlike USB).
Weaknesses: Ties up the bay slot so I can't use a DVD.
Summary: I'd buy this again. My laptops disk controller developed a hardware problem and this allowed me to continue to use the PC.

Strengths: Works as advertised - allows second HDD to be installed in place of the CD/DVD burner
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Plug-n-play hot swappable, allows easy cloning of the primary HDD or straight-up expansion of disk space with the 2nd HDD. No drivers required. Supplied with a basic backup solution on a 3.5" floppy.
