Strengths: Very easy to use, tools easy to get to.

Weaknesses: Very different from Office XP, a bit of a learning curve involved

Summary: Overall I'm very happy with the new version of Office. I have been using Office XP which has a very difficult look and feel, so there has been a bit of a learning curve finding everything again. Teaching my daughter to use the new software has been much easier with the new version with all of the functions displayed graphically vs in drop down menus.

Strengths: I love the new interface it is very user friendly

Weaknesses: Until I learn it all it might put me into "overload". There is just so much new!

Summary: The old Word 2000 has a featrue that is missing from 2007. I could format my pictures and move them around on the page. I haven't yet been able to do this with 2007. Yes you can edit and have some great features but you use your cursor to move them and I prefer putting them anywhere I like.

Strengths: All of the old features as well as some new ones. Also, the interface is more interesting than previous versions.

Weaknesses: Still lacks a more powerful graphic integration.

Summary: This is a stable product and a must for heavy word document users. The new interface is much cleaner and more streamlined for easy tool finding.

Strengths: Seamlessly beings the MS OFFICE standards into Vista.

Summary: This product will grow with my children from middle school through college (with updates). Already they are creating graphs and charts within their reports. Great bargain.

Strengths: An excellent companion to the Windows Vista operating system with many new features.

Summary: A well-integrated suite of core applications with enhanced functionality, Microsoft Office Standard 2007 is well worth the investment.

Summary: MS Office contains all the required capabilities to do my job effectively. MS Office is the industry standard for most, if not all sectors of business. I've used several others but none provide the capabilities of MS Office. Exactly what I wanted at a great price.

Strengths: Tabs make choosing features very easy. Much easier to use than 2003.

Weaknesses: Tabs are not always logical in their feature layout. Many changes seem to be just for the sake of change. I spend most of my learning time just discovering how uniquely a programmer can hide a commonly used feature. Like a MSO scavenger hunt.

Summary: Cost Central provided excellent product service! Great value, too!! I just don't understand Microsoft's thinking in thieir tab/menu layout. As an educator I find that it is a good practice to build on previous learning, not unnecessarily recreate it.

Strengths: Very user friendly, great interface, all the apps talk better with one another

Weaknesses: Have to learn a new way of navigating very familiar applications

Summary: This is a the biggest jump for Microsoft Office to date and they did a great job. The most difference can be found in Word, Excel and Powerpoint but Outlook also picked up some nice features. I am currently testing Onenote that was not part of this package but may be added on shortly, seems like a great way to organize notes. It will take some time before you are comfortable using the applications only because it is very different finding where commonly used items are accessed but once you get the feel for the "ribbon" concept it is very easy to use. I highly recommend this product.

Strengths: Awesome functionality! I love the new look and features.

Weaknesses: Not sure - In my opinion, it is better than the older version in every way!

Summary: The new office program is amazing. It has helped speed up the process of every assignment I turn in for college. Everything is so much easier than it used to be. The automatic preview office gives you when making a formatting change to the text is extremely helpful. The look and feel of the programs suit me well!

Strengths: Stablity, sleekness, versatility, "ink" / tablet capabilities, numerous trial period options to test it, integrates with operating systems & other platforms well; PDF file format capability

Weaknesses: Some of the new file formats are excellent but not backward compatible

Summary: The program runs excellent and can handle an enormous array of document publishing objectives. It is suitable for application in literally any setting. From personal letters and writing home-based documents to the types os work a large company would require. It runs great, rarely crashes, and looks equally sleek, modern & sophisticated.

Weaknesses: Microsoft software is very expensive

Summary: I use the software programs often between school, my home based business, and for personal use and I love it. I think that 2007 Outlook is especially more useful and the look is much better.

Weaknesses: NO MANUALS!!! I had to go to Barnes and Noble to buy some manuals. I purchased the Microsoft Word manual and the Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access manual.

Summary: Great program, beautiful, manageable. Still learning.
