NETGEAR FS605 - Switch
Mfg Part #: FS605NA

|
Hang on - your network will soar when it is hooked up to NETGEAR's FS605! This powerful plug-and-play switch connects at 10 or 100 Mbps and makes it easy to link as many as five computers or peripherals to your Ethernet network. You'll experience maximum performance for 10 or 100 Mbps devices with five ports that automatically sense the correct speed while Auto Uplink on the ports adjusts for the different types of Ethernet cables. The FS605's sleek case has lights on the front for easy monitoring. Installation into your home network couldn't be simpler and, once powered on, it begins cool and silent operation - without an internal fan.

Strengths: Very affordable 5-port switch; zero configuration; works right out of the box; appealing design.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: I use several of these switches throughout the house to connect home entertainment equipment (TVs, Receivers, Blu-Ray players) to the Internet via the home network. Works beautifully and reliably right out of the box.

Strengths: Easy to connect. Well packed. Appears solidly built.
Weaknesses: None found.
Summary: The switch was described accurately and with enough information to make an easy decision to purchase. The price was very reasonable, especially with the rebate. Was not dissapointed when the item quickly arrived and fit right into my network. Runs flawlsely.

Strengths: Easy to set up. Works flawlessly.
Weaknesses: None. It is just a switch for multiple uses of appliances with a CAT5 connection.
Summary: I have my ACN video phone and my HP laser all-in-one connected to it. Room for two more appliances.
