Strengths: Mine is actually 305T-plus, I am not sure about the difference. This is simply the best monitor currently on the market. Bright, 6 ms response, the largest available 2560 x 1600 resolution, Samsung's 3 year warranty.
Weaknesses: No HDCP support. Expensive, compared to 24".
Summary: Make sure that you run it in the native 2560x1600 resolution. This requires a video card with the dual-link DVI support, which many current video cards have, but check the specs! I run it from my Lenovo R61 laptop through the dock station 2504-10U. We also have a linux PC with NVIDIA two-monitor dual-link DVI, both SyncMaster 305T ---really nice! Also, we have 3 2yo 2560x1600 Apple Cinema monitors. Compared to 305T, they are darker, twice slower response, and unreliable (all 3 broke!) with only 1 year warranty.
My R61 laptop has a BD drive, but it does not play Blue-Ray movies on T305 (no HDCP), only on the laptop display. There exist a HDCP-free player, but I do not have it.
